A luglio in Los Angeles c'era il Buddhist Geeks Conference. Non ci sono stato. Sarei andato se non fossi così lontano, ma credo che l'autobus 15 da casa mia non si firma d'avanti il Buddhist College di L.A., quindi ho seguito tutto solo attraverso l'inernet e mi dicono che fra poco alcuni video sarano disponbile al sito di Buddhist Geeks per chi è interessata.
Il punto della conferenza era di portare insieme personaggi del mondo di buddismo pragmatico ed avere un dialogo aperto per discutere le teme della nuova faccia emergenete del Buddismo nel occidente. Avevea lo scopo di vedere come la technologia e buddismo stanno 'interfaccando,' e come la nuova generazione di buddisti vuole proseguire.

In July in Los Angeles, the Buddhist Geeks Conference took place. I didn't actually attend although I would have gone had it not been so far away. Unfortunately the number 15 bus from my house doesn't stop in front of the Buddhist College of LA! I therefore followed as best I could through the internet. I've heard that the Geeks intend to release a lot of the talks and videos from the conference on the Buddhist Geeks website if any of you are interested.
The purpose of the conference was to bring together some of the key characters from the world of pragmatic Buddhism and create an open dialogue to discuss the themes of the 'emerging face of Buddhism' in the west. It wanted to see how technology and Buddhism are inter-facing and how the new generation of Buddhists want to proceed.
